A while ago, the American/Dutch violist Joe Puglia was forced to return his beloved instrument to the owner. He patiently started to look for a new violin that could touch his musical heartstrings. After trying out over 80 instruments, he eventually found a violin built by Anselmo Bellosio in 1785. More than ever before, Puglia discovered that every violin has its own voice. For his Voices of the Violin programme, Puglia plays new solo works by Kate Moore, Alice Yeung, Martijn Padding, Robin de Raaff, Livia Malossi, Arieh Chrem, Jan van de Putte, and others.
