Cellist and artist-in-residence Maya Fridman joins forces with the Spanish/Belgian composer Saskia Venegas, in order to illuminate the inner world of the mythical Greek Medusa. Their performance Medusa is a musical narrative for cello, voice, and electronica as it revolves around the secret story behind Medusa's abuse, transformation, and ascent. In addition, Fridman plays Sangita for cello and electronica, written by the recently deceased Flemish composer Wim Henderickx. A homage to a composer who regularly appeared at November Music with his meditative music.
